Job summary

GE Vernova in Stafford is seeking a Senior Project Engineering Manager to lead the engineering execution of large HVDC EPC projects from our Stafford office. You will oversee diverse international teams and drive delivery of engineering scopes on high-impact HVDC infrastructure.

Reporting to the UK PEM team leader, you will guide project engineering across Europe, US, and Asia, ensuring schedule, cost and quality targets are met while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent in Electrical/Power Systems or related field.
• Minimum experience delivering EPC projects in energy/transmission sectors.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across international environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end engineering delivery for HVDC EPC projects from Stafford.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to meet milestones and interfaces.
• Act as technical lead, managing interfaces between engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Maintain effective communication with customers, partners, and suppliers on technical topics.
• Manage risks with a live risk register and structured change control processes.
• Ensures compliance with safety (EHS) and quality standards across the lifecycle.
• Represent engineering in governance meetings with clear progress reporting.
