Job summary

Siemens Energy Limited is seeking a Team Leader in HVDC Control and Protection Engineering based in the United Kingdom. The role involves guiding a team of up to 15 engineers to design, validate, and deliver comprehensive control and protection solutions for wind farm grid connections and interconnectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical power or control engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of HVDC technology and high-voltage systems.
• Experience in modelling HVDC systems in time and frequency domains.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of HVDC control and protection engineers, overseeing resource planning, performance, and training.
• Define and coordinate control and protection concepts for HVDC systems in collaboration with technical teams.
• Oversee project-management tasks including concept clarifications, customer engagement, documentation, and simulation support.
• Drive continuous improvement through mentoring, training matrices, and standardization of processes and tools.
• Ensure health and safety compliance, risk management, NCR oversight, and adherence to company policies.
