GE Grid Solutions is seeking a Senior Lead Control & Protection System Engineer to join our HVDC projects in the UK. You will lead design reviews and develop control/ protection sequencing, translating MATLAB/Simulink models to PSCAD and verifying them across the delivery life cycle.

You will mentor engineers, define system requirements, and drive continuous improvement to meet customer specifications and project timelines in a dynamic, international environment.

Formación

Engineering degree or equivalent including power systems and power electronics subjects or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDC business.

Responsabilidades

Define control system requirements and participate in HVDC system design.
Model plant in MATLAB/PSCAD and verify with PSCAD simulations.
Conduct Dynamic Performance Studies (DPS) and other design studies using offline/online tools.
Tune control and protection parameters to meet grid stability criteria.
Convert MATLAB Simulink algorithms to PSCAD models and support improvements to existing strategies.
Lead and mentor team members on new control, protection, and sequencing strategies.
