Job summary

Intuition IT Solutions Ltd, based in Stafford, invites a Lead Project Engineer to drive the design, development and verification of HVDC control and protection systems onsite. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and ensure compliance with contract, safety, and quality standards while delivering complex HVDC solutions.

The role requires strong technical leadership, collaboration with customers and suppliers, and willingness to travel globally as required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience in HVDC or similar project execution.
• Strong design and system integration capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel globally and work across international teams.
• Ability to deliver under tight deadlines while maintaining safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidiscipline team of engineers specializing in control and protection, automation, HV & LV power systems, and verification ensuring overall solution meets requirements.
• Provide technical leadership to Tendering, Commissioning, Service and 3rd parties as appropriate.
• Support the Project Manager and deputise as required; plan and progress all design activities including testing and commissioning.
• Monitor budgets, risk management, design reviews and change control in line with company guidelines.
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers, NPI and Product care to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Ensure activities are cost-effective and aligned with contract specifications, safety and quality standards.
