Job summary

National Grid Ventures Interconnectors is seeking an Asset Engineer to manage and maintain critical interconnector assets at the IFA1 site in Sellindge. You will develop asset strategies, drive maintenance excellence and ensure safety, reliability and regulatory alignment across the portfolio.

You will collaborate with site teams and OEMs, translate technical guidance into actionable plans, and maintain asset records while promoting continuous improvement and data integrity in Maximo.

Qualifications

• Experience in engineering and asset management.
• Knowledge of asset management principles and maintenance strategies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and OEM manuals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver asset health assessments and management activities.
• Develop and implement asset maintenance strategies.
• Translate OEM guidance into maintenance plans and Maximo lists.
• Produce and manage maintenance plans and outage scopes.
• Support asset defects and technical investigations.
• Analyse asset performance and provide improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with site operations and external partners to drive best practices.
