Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company seeks a Systems & Controls Software Engineer (Systems) in Leeds to design, develop, test, and deploy software control strategies for high-efficiency HVAC data-centre solutions. You will work with Carel, Trend, CoDeSys, and Allen Bradley platforms, validating software with test benches and leading FAT/SAT activities alongside clients and R&D.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical/Controls engineering.
HVAC knowledge and thermodynamics understanding.
Ability to read electrical schematics and control diagrams.
Experience with BMS/DCIM protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and code robust control strategies for HVAC across platforms (Carel, Trend, CoDeSys, AB).
Validate software with functional test benches and perform FAT/SAT style testing.
Lead FAT witness testing with customers, consultants, and R&D teams.
Create and maintain technical documentation (Control Philosophies, Des Ops, FMEA, O&M).
Support commissioning and deliver on-site technical assistance to clients.
Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement with R&D and project teams.
