Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Leeds is seeking a CAD Design Engineer to join the Product Development team. You will work with mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing and quality engineers to design the structural framework and packaging of new HVAC products from concept through to production.

You will produce 3D models, layout drawings and sheet metal manufacturing drawings, ensuring designs meet APQP/SOM guidelines and deadlines.

Qualifications

Experience with MS Word and Excel is essential.
Degree or HNC in Engineering or Science preferred.
Sheet metal manufacturing experience is advantageous.
Mechanical engineering knowledge is beneficial.
Ability to use initiative and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

Develop new product designs in line with APQP and SOM guidelines from concept to production.
Produce drawings, 3D models, layouts and pipe-work designs.
Create sheet metal manufacturing drawings for parts and assemblies.
Work to deadlines and cost targets with manufacturing in mind.
