Job summary

Exyte in the United Kingdom seeks an engineering professional to deliver HVAC work scopes on projects, ensuring compliance with codes, budgets and schedules while prioritising safety and quality.

You will plan and coordinate with design engineers and contractors, review designs, prepare handover documents, and support commissioning, installation, and post-install troubleshooting for plant rooms.

Qualifications

• A minimum of HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services.
• Excellent knowledge in design and fabrication/assembly of packaged plant rooms – structural, piping, maintainability, transportation etc.
• Modular design and manufacture.
• Awareness of industry standards and legislation including CE marking.
• Customer facing with high commercial awareness.
• Understanding of requirements management and configuration/change management.
• Experience in HVAC design and bespoke mechanical equipment in Nuclear applications (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Coordination across design, procurement and construction.
• Develop project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate with design engineers, contractors and suppliers.
• Review project scope to align with client requirements.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical input.
• Review and validate HVAC designs and drawings.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and specifications.
• Approve equipment selections and submittals.
• Monitor installation activities for quality and safety.
• Coordinate commissioning and testing of HVAC systems.
• Prepare handover documents and O&M manuals.
• Track project costs and support budget control.
