Job summary

Sodexo Group is seeking an experienced Engineering Supervisor to lead a team of engineering technicians on a client site in the United Kingdom. You will supervise maintenance activities, troubleshoot faults, and ensure work meets engineering standards and safety regulations.

You will mentor apprentices, plan routine maintenance, and collaborate with clients to minimise operational disruption while managing workloads and costs. The role is based on-site with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Practical engineering knowledge and compliance with engineering standards.
• Experience supervising a technical maintenance environment.
• Experience supervising teams with health & safety standards.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities.
• Good organisational and workload-prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication with customers, colleagues and team members.
• Proficiency in CMMS and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of engineering technicians.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to assets and equipment.
• Plan, undertake and supervise routine planned maintenance.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet legislation and best practices.
• Supervise asset replacements and minor new works.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns promptly to minimise disruption.
• Build relationships with clients, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support team members and apprentices.
• Monitor cost-effectiveness and sustainability of maintenance.
• Ensure safe systems of work are followed.
