Trane Technologies is seeking a Controls Technician to support UK customers across commercial HVAC projects. You will commission, troubleshoot, and service HVAC systems on-site, interfacing with internal teams and customers to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes hands-on installation, drawing on air conditioning theory, pipe fitting and mechanical layouts, with travel and standby requirements. A driver’s license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in service or field-based technician roles.
• Strong customer service knowledge and practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and MS Office.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and in a team.
• Willingness to cover standby, travel, and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Commission, program, and set up graphics and communications on assigned projects.
• Document verification, sequence of operations, and job close-out.
• Servicing equipment at customer locations to diagnose and repair issues.
• Maintain knowledge of installation, operation, maintenance and repair of control systems.
• Collaborate with service desk, sales, and operations teams to relay insights.
• Generate reports on completed invoiced work orders.
• Drive customer relationships with strong service quality.
• Coordinate with field staff, regional leaders and customers on updates.
