Thames Water seeks an Electrical Technical Support Engineer to support the Electrical Services team across process operations and Capital Delivery. You will ensure assets are installed and commissioned to TWUL standards and participate in directly managed capital programmes.

The role also involves investigations, reporting, and asset upgrade delivery within HV/LV networks. The role requires HNC/NVQ3 in electrical engineering or equivalent experience, and appointment as an Authorised Person.

Competenze

• HNC, NVQ Level 3 in electrical engineering or significant related experience.
• Formal training in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS7671.
• Appointment as an Authorised Person for high voltage or low voltage systems.
• Proven working experience in industrial electrical power and engineering.
• Understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations and their application.
• Experience in electrical engineering within a large industrial utility or water company.
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations and electrical safety rules.
• Training and operational experience as an Authorised Person.
• Engaging with process operations teams, contractors and other third parties.
• Experience in mentoring and coaching others.
• Producing maintenance and fault-finding activity reports.

Mansioni

• Provide a technical support service for operation and maintenance of electrical systems and contribute to risk management.
• Support high voltage asset upgrade schemes and directly managed capital programmes.
• Carry out electrical system failure investigations and produce reports.
• Manage maintenance reports, asset registers, manuals and technical information.
• Conduct asset assessment surveys and propose recommendations; support site inspections.
• Coach and mentor teams in preparation to become Authorised Persons.
• Review risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe electrical arrangements.
