Job summary

Thames Water seeks an Electrical Technical Support Engineer to back the Electrical Services team across process operations and Capital Delivery. You will ensure assets are installed and commissioned to TWUL standards, and directly managed projects may be delivered as part of your responsibilities.

You will support HV/LV networks across sites, maintain safety, investigate issues, and drive asset upgrade programmes, with an emphasis on developing authorised person capability and providing expert

Qualifications

• HV/LV electrical systems knowledge and practical experience.
• Understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations and safety procedures.
• Experience in industrial utilities or water sector.
• Asset management and safety procedures awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Liaise on high voltage asset upgrade schemes and capital programmes.
• Investigate electrical system failures and unsafe events.
• Manage maintenance reports, asset registers, manuals and technical information.
• Conduct asset assessment surveys and provide recommendations.
• Coach and mentor others towards Authorised Person appointment.
• Review risk assessments and method statements to ensure electrical safety.
