Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Power team on the Brocastle project in Bridgend, South Wales. You will work across HV and EHV power systems, contributing to design and on-site delivery and coordinating with contractors and suppliers.

The role involves reviewing drawings, installing and testing electrical equipment, and developing knowledge in substations, transformers, switchgear, and control systems within a major National Grid project.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings, specifications and schematics.
• Strong understanding of electrical design principles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Support HV and EHV electrical works across design and site delivery.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Coordinate works on site with contractors, suppliers and project teams.
• Contribute to installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
