Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced HV Construction Manager with SR163 authorisation to deliver an on-site, high‑voltage/substation project in South Wales. You will ensure safe, efficient execution of HV/EHV construction activities and coordinate with National Grid requirements and multi‑discipline teams.

Key duties include managing RAMS/ITPs, reviewing quality records, and supporting testing and commissioning while leading site teams and contractors to meet schedule and safety standards.

Formación

• SR163 authorisation essential.
• Experience delivering HV/EHV construction on complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience on National Grid projects, especially substations or transmission infra.
• Strong electrical background with HV plant, transformers, switchgear and protection systems.
• Experience managing RAMS, ITPs, inspections and QA activities.
• Support electrical testing and commissioning activities.
• Knowledge of Permit to Work procedures in substations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead safe, on-site delivery of HV/EHV construction activities on site.
• Coordinate contractors and site teams across multiple work packages.
• Review and approve RAMS, ITPs, inspections and quality records.
• Support testing and commissioning alongside project team.
• Ensure compliance with National Grid requirements and project specifications.
