Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Power team on the Brocastle project in Bridgend, South Wales. You will contribute to the design, installation, testing and commissioning of HV/EHV electrical works on site, coordinating with contractors and project teams.

The role offers site-based development within a major National Grid project, with focus on safety, quality and on-time delivery. Training and career progression are supported in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
• Experience with HV/EHV and substations is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design, installation, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment and systems.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Support engineering activities on site and coordinate works with contractors and suppliers.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to quality standards.
