Base pay range

Contract type – 12-month FTC (maternity cover)

Location – Andover (1-2 days a week)

Up to £60,000 + Bonus + Flex bens pot + Pension + Healthplan + 36 days holiday + hybrid working

As HR Operations Partner, you’ll be a trusted advisor to our Finance, Legal, Risk and Assurance and Customer Service teams and will play a pivotal role in shaping the people strategy. Your focus? Coaching our leaders to drive performance though the engagement and welling of their people, maximising potential, optimising structures and supporting on all aspects of the colleague journey ensuring a thriving work environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Business Partnering: You’ll be the go-to trusted advisor for our leaders, delivering creative and strategic HR solutions that drive performance and engagement.
  • Driving People Performance: From coaching managers to enhancing team capability, you’ll ensure our teams are set up for success.
  • Provide expert guidance on employment law and workplace regulations, ensuring a balanced approach that considers both business needs and employee well-being.
  • Drive and support organisational change initiatives, partnering with leaders to implement effective transformation strategies.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and address capability gaps, supporting both immediate business goals and long-term strategic objectives to foster high-performing teams.
  • Continuously review and enhance HR processes, ensuring they are efficient, value-adding, and aligned with best practice.
  • Utilise data-driven insights to identify workforce trends, inform decision-making, and drive targeted actions in line with the people strategy.
  • Partner with the Head of HR and People function to improve annual key people initiatives and lead strategic HR projects.
  • Ensure consistency and compliance in HR policies and processes across the organisation.
  • Support and coach line managers in all aspects of people management, including performance development and employee engagement.
  • Work closely with business leaders and the Reward team to facilitate the annual pay review and bonus process.
  • Advise on risk management and support managers in handling informal and formal disciplinary, capability, and grievance matters with sensitivity, timeliness, and confidentiality.
  • Manage employee relations cases effectively, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and best practice.
  • Monitor and manage absence trends, taking proactive measures to address high levels of absence and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Provide ad hoc support to managers, addressing workforce issues that impact employee experience and business performance.
  • Work with managers to identify hiring needs, developing accurate and effective role profiles to support talent acquisition.

About you

To be considered you must have:

  • Significant experience in a HR generalist role, with up-to-date knowledge of employment law, experience handling complex, and sensitive situations, and experience managing the entire remit of HR activities.
  • Experience of business transformation including change management and reorganisation.
  • A confident coaching and mentoring style, adept at upskilling managers in people leadership.
  • Strong storytelling skills with the ability to influence through your communication, capable of building strong relationships with senior leadership and stakeholders across the organisation
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, able to roll your sleeves up and support the wider People function where needed.

We have a head office in Hampshire, but depending on your role, you’ll be able to enjoy our ‘smart working’ approach This means you can flex when and where you spend your time. For many of us this means day to day work can be handled remotely, but there will also be times when we need to come together in the office to collaborate, attend training sessions, induction, briefings and more
