HR Advisor (FTC up to 1 year)

Are you a skilled HR professional eager to make a meaningful impact? We are looking for an enthusiastic HR Advisor to provide HR support across multiple locations. In this role, you will serve as a key link for employees, managers, and external partners while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer guidance on HR matters, including absence management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and performance evaluations.
  • Coach managers on the interpretation and application of HR policies.
  • Collaborate with the HR Business Partner on change management initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate records to support HR decision-making.
  • Assist in the recruitment process by creating job descriptions and reviewing advertisements.
  • Provide management information on sickness absence, turnover, and performance to senior leadership.
  • Process monthly payroll entries and ensure compliance for audits.
  • Review and update policy documents and handbooks.
  • Manage a diverse employee relations caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ideally CIPD qualified at level 3, with a willingness to obtain level 5 or equivalent experience.
  • Attention to detail and experience assisting with various HR matters.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment legislation.
  • Ability to work independently and handle sensitive issues professionally.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in HR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Detailed working knowledge of safer recruitment principles.

Desirable:

  • Previous HR experience in a generalist role.
  • Familiarity with databases and data management.
  • Commitment to confidentiality.
