Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives on managing complex employee relations cases and providing expert advice to managers? This role will suit someone who can confidently partner with managers to navigate complex and sensitive people issues. Whilst the role offers broad HR exposure, a significant focus will be on managing employee relations matters, providing expert advice and ensuring best practice is followed throughout formal processes.

If your experience is primarily focused on absence management and first-line HR advice, this role is unlikely to be the right fit. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate their involvement in complex disciplinary, grievance, capability or other formal employee relations cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a varied organisational environment.
  • Lead and support managers through complex employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, policy and best practice.
  • Advise on disciplinary, grievance, capability, conduct and other formal HR processes from initial consultation through to outcome.
  • Support investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring robust documentation and procedural fairness throughout.
  • Coach and challenge managers to make informed people decisions.
  • Support organisational change projects and HR initiatives across the wider business.
  • Analyse HR data and trends to identify areas for improvement and support decision-making.
  • Build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of HR policies, processes and best practice.
To be successful, you will have
  • Strong employee relations experience with evidence of managing or playing a significant role in complex casework.
  • Experience advising managers on formal disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Good understanding of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • CIPD qualification, or be working towards it, or possess equivalent practical experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge professionally.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Applications particularly welcome from candidates with experience of
  • Complex disciplinary investigations.
  • Grievance management.
  • Appeals and formal hearings.
  • Long-running or high-risk employee relations cases.
  • Supporting managers through sensitive employee relations situations.
  • Organisational change and consultation processes.

Aspire Recruitment is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of age, disability, gender identity or expression, marital status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
