Job summary

Aspire Recruitment is seeking an HR Advisor in Manchester City Centre, operating on a hybrid basis for a fixed-term contract of 12 months until 1st September 2027. The role offers up to £32,990 per annum, with duties spanning proactive HR advisory work, employee relations, and change initiatives within a busy HR team.

You will partner with managers across the organisation, provide guidance on ER matters, and help shape people plans while maintaining accurate HR records and reporting.

Qualifications

  • CIPD qualification or working towards is required or expected.
  • Broad generalist HR knowledge is essential.
  • Strong employee relations experience and ability to handle complex casework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive and professional HR advisory services to managers and employees.
  • Support delivery of people plans and HR initiatives across business areas.
  • Advise on absence management, performance; capability; disciplinary and grievances.
  • Assist with organisational development and change management projects.
  • Analyse HR data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Build relationships with managers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coach line managers to develop people management skills.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports as required.
  • Support implementation of HR policies and best practices.

We are recruiting for an HR Advisor to join a busy and supportive HR team, providing expert advice and guidance to managers and employees across a diverse organisation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering people-focused solutions, supporting organisational change, and driving employee engagement. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives that support business objectives and create a positive workplace culture.

The role involves:
  • Providing a proactive and professional HR advisory service to managers and employees.
  • Supporting the delivery of people plans and HR initiatives across designated business areas.
  • Advising on a wide range of employee relations matters including absence management, performance, capability, disciplinary and grievance issues.
  • Assisting with organisational development and change management projects.
  • Analysing HR data and identifying trends to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Building effective relationships with managers and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Coaching and supporting line managers to develop their people management skills.
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and preparing reports as required.
  • Supporting the implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practice.
  • Contributing to HR projects and wider organisational objectives.
You’ll need:
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) or equivalent HR experience.
  • Previous experience in a HR Advisor role with broad generalist HR knowledge.
  • Strong employee relations experience and confidence handling complex casework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and competing priorities.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret HR data and identify solutions.
  • A proactive, resilient and solutions-focused approach.
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting organisational change or improvement initiatives would be advantageous.
