Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced HR Advisor for a 17-month fixed-term maternity cover in a precision engineering manufacturing environment. The role focuses on employee relations, operational HR and HR policies, with day-to-day guidance for employees and line managers.

The ideal candidate has strong HR generalist experience within manufacturing, solid knowledge of UK employment law and CIPD is desirable.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as HR Advisor with a generalist remit.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of UK employment law and best HR practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to employees and line managers, ensuring fair processes.
• Support development and implementation of HR initiatives, policies and procedures in line with business needs and legislation.
• Monitor HR data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement (absence, ER, recruitment, retention).
• Assist with organisational change and workforce planning activities.
• Build strong relationships with managers and staff across the site.

Our client, a growing precision engineering manufacturer supplying the aerospace industry, are now looking for an HR Advisor to join their team on a 17-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.

Job Description

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to employees and Line Managers, ensuring a consistent and fair approach to people-related matters.
• Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives, policies and procedures in line with business requirements and employment legislation.
• Monitor and analyse HR data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement across areas such as absence, employee relations, recruitment and retention.
• Support organisational change and workforce planning activities
• Build strong relationships across the site, working collaboratively with managers and employees

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications

• Strong experience working at HR Advisor level
• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
• Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
• CIPD qualification is highly desirable but not needed
