We are looking for an experienced and confident HR Advisor to join a busy, highly customer-focused HR team supporting a well-established organisation operating across multiple sites with more than 500 employees.
Reporting directly to the Head of Human Resources, you will play an integral role in the day-to-day delivery of a professional and effective HR service, supporting Directors, Managers and employees across the business.
This is a varied, hands‑on HR position that would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, providing practical HR advice while also ensuring the smooth running of HR processes and administration.
As HR Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing professional advice and guidance to Managers and employees on a wide range of HR and employee relations matters.
- Supporting the business in accordance with current employment legislation, company policies and HR best practice.
- Assisting with employee relations matters and ensuring appropriate processes and procedures are followed.
- Supporting recruitment activity and associated HR administration.
- Preparing accurate employee correspondence, documentation and reports.
- Maintaining electronic employee files and ensuring HR records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintaining and analysing HR spreadsheets and data, producing clear and accurate information when required.
- Supporting the development, implementation and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
- Working closely with the wider HR team to provide a responsive and professional service across the organisation.
- Travelling to other company sites when required.
About You
- CIPD Level 5 qualification.
- Previous experience working in an HR Advisor or similar HR role.
- The confidence and experience to advise Managers on a broad range of HR and employee relations matters.
- A good working knowledge of UK employment law, HR policies and best practice.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including maintaining spreadsheets, analysing information and producing accurate reports.
- Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks and work to deadlines.
- The ability to remain professional, accurate and organised when working under pressure.
This is a permanent role, office based role working Monday to Friday 8.00am-5.00pm.
