Job summary

Elevation HR is recruiting an HR Advisor for a global manufacturing business in Leeds. The role is full-time and permanent, reporting to the Head of HR and collaborating with the Senior HR Advisor in a broad generalist capacity.

You’ll handle absence and ER matters, advise managers, support recruitment and onboarding, and contribute to HR projects while maintaining confidential employee records.

Qualifications

• Previous HR experience within manufacturing, FMCG or similarly fast-paced environments.
• CIPD qualification or actively working towards CIPD qualification.
• Hands-on employee relations experience with confidence managing absence and ER matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day absence and ER cases, identifying trends with managers.
• Provide practical HR advice to managers across employee relations matters.
• Support the full recruitment process from activity through to offers and pre-employment checks.
• Manage onboarding for new starters, ensuring contracts, documentation and inductions are completed smoothly.
• Collaborate with Senior HR Advisor on wider HR projects and policy reviews.
• Maintain accurate HR records and confidential documentation.
• Participate in broader generalist HR activities across the employee lifecycle.

Elevation HR are looking to recruit a HR Advisor to support a global manufacturing business based in Leeds, on a full-time, permanent basis.

Elevation HR is exclusively partnering with this business through an exciting period of growth and transformation and we’re looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the team. Reporting directly into the Head of HR and working closely alongside the Senior HR Advisor, this is a genuinely broad generalist HR role offering exposure across employee relations, performance, absence, recruitment and wider people projects. As a HR Advisor, you will be responsible for:

• Manage day-to-day absence and ER cases, identifying trends and trigger points while working closely with managers to ensure appropriate and timely follow-up
• Provide practical HR advice to managers across a range of employee relations matters
• Support the full recruitment process, from coordinating recruitment activity through to offers and pre-employment processes
• Manage onboarding for new starters, ensuring contracts, documentation and inductions are completed smoothly and provide a positive employee experience
• Work closely with the Senior HR Advisor on wider HR projects, including policy reviews, updates and improvements to HR processes
• Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, ensuring employee information and casework are managed confidentially and effectively
• Get involved in wider generalist HR activity, giving you exposure across the employee lifecycle within a business going through growth and transformation

The ideal HR Advisor will have:

• Previous HR experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing, FMCG or similarly fast-paced operational environment
• CIPD qualified or actively working towards a CIPD qualification, with a genuine interest in developing their HR career
• Hands-on employee relations experience, with confidence managing absence, performance and day-to-day ER matters
