Job summary

Gapp Search is partnering with an established international engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an experienced HR Advisor. You will provide hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle, combining day-to-day HR administration with first-line advice on employee relations, absence, probation, performance and people matters.

The role is based on-site in Droitwich Spa, offering a permanent contract with a salary of £40,000–£45,000.

Qualifications

• Generalist HR Advisor experience within manufacturing.
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience handling first-line employee relations cases.
• Experience advising and coaching managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line HR advice to managers and employees.
• Manage employee relations cases including absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability and conduct matters.
• Support managers with investigations, meetings and associated documentation.
• Coach managers on HR policies, procedures and day-to-day people issues.
• Oversee HR administration including new starters, contractual changes and leavers.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR data.
• Prepare contracts, letters and other HR documentation.
• Monitor probation reviews, extensions and outcomes.
• Produce HR reports and support people metrics.
• Help ensure HR processes remain compliant with legislation and policy.
• Support improvements to HR processes, systems and documentation.

What we're looking for You’ll need previous experience working as a generalist HR Advisor within a manufacturing environment.

You should also have:

• Experience handling first‑line employee relations cases
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
• Experience advising and coaching managers
• CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 qualification, or be working towards one
• Experience using an HRIS
• Strong organisation, communication and attention to detail

You’ll be joining a well‑established international business where HR is closely involved with the day‑to‑day operation and works directly with managers across the organisation.
