Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor for the Regional Scotland team at the Netherton Hub project in Peterhead. The role focuses on delivering safe project execution across HVDC/HVAC works and associated civils, with emphasis on Zero Harm and high safety standards.

You will support HSW strategy deployment, investigate incidents, conduct site inspections, and help bids with robust HSW responses.

Qualifications

• Relevant H&S Diploma, NVQ or Degree (or equivalent) with on-site experience.
• Chartered IOSH membership or working toward it is desirable.
• Strong awareness of UK H&S regulatory framework and ability to write formal reports.

Responsibilities

• Understand and support delivery of UK HSW Strategy at the regional level.
• Support Zero Harm Action Plan and Sustainability actions.
• Contribute to HSW KPIs and bid responses with strong HS&W content.
• Investigate accidents and near misses following BBMS standards.
• Lead local risk-based SLAs and conduct periodic site inspections.
