Job summary

Sustainable Talent is seeking an experienced HSQE Manager to lead health, safety, quality and environmental performance on a major grid connection project in Hampshire. The role covers substations and power infrastructure works, requiring strong leadership and hands-on site involvement.

Office- and site-based employment with no home working option; you will drive RAMS reviews, audits and toolbox talks, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement across the project team.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate required.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate required.
• CSCS card valid for site access and works.

Responsibilities

• Lead HSQE standards across the project.
• Provide HSQE leadership for substation and T&D works.
• Monitor site activities for compliance with legislation and procedures.
• Conduct site inspections, audits and assurance tasks; implement corrective actions.
• Review RAMS and safe systems of work; maintain project documentation.
• Support safe delivery of cable excavation, cable laying and street works.
• Engage with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to promote safety culture.
• Investigate incidents and non-conformances; identify root causes and preventative measures.
• Maintain HSQE records and provide performance updates.
