Job summary

Sodexo Live! at St James' Park in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking an experienced HSEQ Advisor to lead health, safety, environment, quality and food safety across the venue.

You will partner with operations, chefs and client teams to maintain world-class standards during matchdays, concerts and other events. The role focuses on driving a proactive safety culture, delivering audits and training, investigating incidents and developing RAMS and safe systems of work, with NEBOSH qualification and

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification (or working towards within agreed timeframe).
• Experience in Health & Safety, HSEQ or Food Safety.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance.
• Experience managing audits, inspections and compliance systems.
• Experience investigating accidents and incidents.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyse data and identify trends and improvements.
• Strong organisational skills and prioritisation.
• MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Level 4 Food Safety qualification, or willingness to achieve within six months.

Responsibilities

• Drive a positive HSEQ culture across the venue.
• Provide HSEQ and Food Safety guidance to operations.
• Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews in kitchens and hospitality areas.
• Investigate accidents and incidents; identify root causes and preventive actions.
• Deliver training, toolbox talks and inductions to managers and staff.
• Support major events and ensure safe operational delivery.
• Develop RAMS, COSHH and safe systems of work.
• Support food safety compliance and EH inspections.
• Produce KPI reports to drive improvements.
• Build strong relationships with Newcastle United and stakeholders.
