Job description

VANRATH is delighted to assist a global manufacturing giant with the recruitment of a Senior HSE Advisor. The position is based at the company's office in Ballymoney, working Monday to Friday, with a negotiable salary, a 10% bonus, growth opportunities, and other benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as company policies.
2. Manage HSE performance KPI reporting, environmental monitoring, and measurement.
3. Lead HSE steering meetings and safety committees.
4. Assist in claims management processes.
5. Regularly review HSE risk assessments, policies, and procedures.
6. Support HSE and continuous improvement projects.
7. Conduct accident/incident investigations and support other investigations.
8. Coordinate with regulatory enforcement agencies, insurance companies, and occupational health providers.
9. Identify and deliver HSE training requirements and deliver training as needed.
10. Collaborate with site teams—leadership, production, engineering, logistics, purchasing—to implement HSE improvement plans and ensure a safe working environment.
11. Work with external parties to ensure the safety of contractors and visitors.
12. Support HSE budgeting, including processing purchase orders and resolving invoice queries.
13. Coordinate and consult with leadership teams.
14. Perform any other reasonable tasks as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar (candidates working towards qualification are also encouraged to apply).
• Has experience in a similar role.
• Has knowledge of current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
• Possesses a good understanding of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and display screen equipment.
