Job description

VANRATH is delighted to assist a global manufacturing giant with the recruitment of a Senior HSE Advisor. The position is based at the company's office in Ballymoney, with working hours from Monday to Friday, offering a negotiable salary, a 10% bonus, growth opportunities, and additional benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and environmental legislation, as well as company policies.
2. Report on HSE performance KPIs, monitor environmental metrics.
3. Lead HSE steering meetings and safety committees.
4. Assist in claims management processes.
5. Review HSE risk assessments, policies, and procedures regularly.
6. Support HSE and continuous improvement projects.
7. Conduct accident/incident investigations and support other investigations.
8. Collaborate with regulatory agencies, insurance providers, and occupational health services.
9. Identify training needs and deliver HSE training sessions.
10. Work with site teams—leadership, production, engineering, logistics, purchasing—to implement HSE improvement plans and safety roadmaps.
11. Ensure the safety of contractors and visitors on-site.
12. Support HSE budgeting, including processing purchase orders and resolving invoice queries.
13. Coordinate and consult with leadership teams.
14. Perform other reasonable tasks as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

1. Possesses a NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar (candidates working towards qualification are also considered).
2. Has experience in a similar HSE role.
3. Possesses knowledge of current health, safety, and environmental legislation.
4. Has a good understanding of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and display screen equipment regulations.
