HSE Advisor. Job in Ballymoney Education & Training Jobs

Join our Team: HSE Advisor Ballymoney - 39 hours

Join our team at Terex and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated HSE Advisor to contribute to the Ballymoney team. As a key member of our team, you will partner with the management team to foster a safety-first culture and drive our Zero Harm goal. Your proactive approach will help ensure the business is compliant with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, while continuously improving our safety performance.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure compliance with local Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation as well as company policies and requirements.
  2. HSE Performance KPI reporting, environmental monitoring, and measurement.
  3. Lead HSE Steering meetings and Safety Committees.
  4. Assist in the Claims management process.
  5. Review HSE Risk Assessments, Policies, and Procedures regularly.
  6. Support HSE and continuous improvement Projects.
  7. Conduct Accident/Incident investigations on site and support other investigations.
  8. Work with regulatory enforcement agencies, insurance agencies, and occupational health providers.
  9. Identify training requirements and deliver HSE training as necessary.
  10. Collaborate with site teams—leadership, production, engineering, logistics, purchasing—to ensure completion of HSE improvement plans and deployment of HSE/SIF roadmaps.
  11. Ensure the safety of contractors and visitors by collaborating within the site and externally.
  12. Support HSE budget processes, including purchase orders and invoice queries.
  13. Coordinate and consult with leadership teams.
  14. Perform any other reasonable tasks and duties.
Candidate Requirements:
  • A NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or similar (candidates working towards qualification are encouraged to apply).
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental Legislation.
  • Proficiency in Risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and Display Screen Equipment.
Desirable but Not Essential:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate.
  • NEBOSH Environment Certificate or similar.
  • NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Well-being at Work.
  • Train the Trainer Certificate.
  • Knowledge of PPC Regulations, UK Packaging Regulations.
