An established global manufacturer is seeking an experienced HSE professional to join their site leadership team. This is a key position offering the opportunity to play a major role in driving health and safety strategy across a busy manufacturing environment. You'll be joining a highly respected international brand known for innovation, operational excellence, and putting people first.
The successful candidate will take ownership of site-level safety initiatives, working closely with department leads to enhance processes, reduce risk, and ensure full regulatory compliance. The role involves hands-on involvement with safety audits, training coordination, and cultural development around workplace safety.
Oversee day-to-day compliance with workplace health and environmental standards
Prepare and present HSE performance metrics, audits, and inspection findings
Support claims handling and liaise with insurers and occupational health services
Maintain and update site HSE policies, tool kits, and incident protocols
Lead safety briefings and act as point of contact for internal safety committees
Conduct root cause analysis for accidents or near-misses, producing detailed reports and action plans
Liaise with third-party contractors to ensure safety compliance on-site
Support delivery of training sessions and maintain staff development records
Work with operational teams to deliver risk reduction projects and monitor improvement plans
Coordinate external reporting and communications with regulatory bodies
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent); candidates working toward qualification will also be considered
Proven experience in a similar HSE role within a manufacturing, logistics or industrial setting
Knowledge of UK H&S legislation, including COSHH, RIDDOR, and risk management frameworks
Strong communication skills and ability to engage cross-functional teams on safety initiatives
Confident in leading safety investigations and presenting findings to senior management
