Job summary

Galliford Try is seeking an HS&E Advisor to support health, safety and environmental strategy delivery across projects and frameworks in the Glasgow region. You will work with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to ensure exemplary standards and continuous improvement.

This role focuses on promoting a positive HS&E culture, site inspections, incident investigations and compliance with management systems across projects, with travel across sites as required.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities and management systems.
• Excellence, Passion, Integrity and Collaboration (EPIC) values.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
• Ability to influence and support teams at all levels.
• Knowledge of performance monitoring, reporting systems and data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of a positive, open and collaborative HS&E culture across the business.
• Promote Challenging Beliefs, Affecting Behaviours to embed positive safety behaviours across projects.
• Support the implementation of the HS&E Strategy, driving continual improvement and learning.
• Implement and support compliance with the HS&E Management System across company and client requirements.
• Provide technical health, safety and environmental guidance to operational and site management teams.
• Engage with clients, supply chain partners, regulatory authorities and colleagues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support operational teams from planning through to project completion, ensuring proactive HS&E implementation.
• Monitor HS&E performance using KPIs and support improvement initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate HS&E risks across projects and operations.
• Attend project meetings and provide professional advice to delivery teams.
• Escalate HS&E concerns and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with teams on all matters relating to health, safety and environmental performance.
