Job summary

Galliford Try Group is seeking an energetic HS&E Advisor to join the Environment Division, reporting to the Framework HS&E Manager. You will support delivery of the Health, Safety and Environmental strategy across multiple projects and frameworks, working with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to uphold high safety and environmental performance.

The role offers opportunities to develop within a leading infrastructure business, with travel across the Yorkshire region and UK

Qualifications

• Relevant Health, Safety and Environmental experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities, water or similar industry.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NEBOSH General Certificate, or currently working towards achieving one.
• Knowledge of HS&E legislation, management systems and risk management processes.
• Experience supporting projects through planning, design and construction phases.

Responsibilities

• Review key project documentation including Construction Phase Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Risk Assessments, Method Statements and HS&E Management Documentation.
• Support operational teams in implementing safe systems of work and environmental controls.
• Provide practical guidance throughout the project lifecycle from planning and design through to construction and completion.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and HS&E reviews; undertake site safety and environmental audits.
• Deliver training sessions, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns; manage onboarding of supply chain partners.
