Job summary

Hayley Group in Halesowen is offering an HR & Recruitment Apprentice role within the Group HR Team. This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience across HR Generalist activities and Talent Acquisition, with study for an HR Support Level 3 qualification.

You'll learn to update HR systems, run onboarding checks, draft job adverts, attract candidates and assist with assessment and selection. The program includes dedicated mentoring and a clear path into Talent Acquisition Administration.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• A genuine interest in Human Resources and Recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Develop HR generalist and Talent Acquisition skills through the two core areas.
• Assist with updating HR systems for new starters and leavers.
• Monitor key dates and changes across employee information, absence and performance.
• Support recruitment activities: write adverts, candidate attraction, sourcing, assessment and onboarding.
• Lead onboarding tasks: Right to Work checks, contracts and referencing.
• Engage in process improvement projects and act as apprenticeship ambassador.
• Build a foundation in HR practices, employment law and recruitment processes.
• Progress to Talent Acquisition Administrator after apprenticeship.
