Hayley Group in Halesowen, West Midlands, is offering an HR & Recruitment Apprentice role in the Group HR Team. You will develop across HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition, focusing on onboarding, HR data, and supporting recruitment processes while studying for a recognised qualification.

No previous experience required—just curiosity, enthusiasm, and a commitment to developing new skills.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• A genuine interest in Human Resources and Recruitment.

Responsabilités

• Assist HR Generalist activities across the employee lifecycle (onboarding, changes, absences, performance).
• Support Talent Acquisition from writing job adverts to candidate attraction, sourcing, assessment and onboarding.
• Lead onboarding tasks including Right to Work checks, contracts, and references.
• Support apprenticeship projects and contribute to process improvements.

This role is ideal for someone looking to build a career in Human Resources and Talent Acquisition while gaining a recognised qualification and valuable hands-on experience across the employee lifecycle.

About The Role

The HR & Recruitment Apprentice

The HR & Recruitment Apprentice will have the opportunity to develop and learn across two core areas to include HR Generalist and Talent Acquisition. The role will provide a foundation in HR generalist activities that support the employee lifecycle such as updating our HR systems with things like new starter and leaver records as well as monitoring key dates and changes across employee information, absence management and performance management. This will lead nicely into the Talent Acquisition activities from learning how to write a job advert, candidate attraction, sourcing, assessment and selection and the onboarding of candidates. You will lead on onboarding activities which typically include Right to Work checks, issuing of employment contracts and referencing activities. There will also be the opportunity to get involved with process improvement projects and supporting the apprenticeship team as an ambassador! Learning both areas will provide an excellent foundation in HR practices, employment law and recruitment processes. Following successful completion of the apprenticeship, this role is expected to move permanently into the Talent Acquisition Team as a Talent Acquisition Administrator.

About The Apprenticeship

• HR Support Level 3 Apprenticeship.
• Typical duration of 18 months
• Study and coursework completed during working hours.
• Dedicated support from a training provider, your manager & Early Careers Team

Essential Requirements

• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.

• Strong IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• A genuine interest in Human Resources and Recruitment.
