This is an excellent opportunity for an HR systems professional with a strong operational HR background who has subsequently developed a specialism in HR systems, people data, management information and reporting.

The successful candidate will act as a subject-matter expert for IRIS Cascade, supporting the maintenance, development and effective use of the organisation's HR systems. You will produce accurate HR reports and Power BI dashboards, interpret workforce data and provide meaningful insights to senior and executive stakeholders.

You will also improve system workflows, maintain high standards of data quality, support audits and statutory reporting, create user documentation and train managers and colleagues on systems and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities:
  • Act as the lead coordinator and subject-matter expert for IRIS Cascade and associated HR systems.
  • Complete system housekeeping, maintenance and day-to-day HRIS administration.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to systems and reporting requests.
  • Review existing workflows and identify opportunities for streamlining and automation.
  • Develop and maintain bespoke HR reports and interactive Power BI dashboards.
  • Produce regular HR KPIs, management information and workforce reports.
  • Analyse people data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Provide clear commentary, insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards and papers for senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Produce monthly reporting for the People and Culture team and People Business Partners.
  • Maintain HR data accuracy, integrity, security and compliance.
  • Lead or support HR systems audits and implement agreed recommendations.
  • Provide accurate information for statutory reporting, including ONS surveys where required.
  • Develop user guides, process maps, standard operating procedures and training materials.
  • Deliver systems and reporting training to new colleagues, managers and other system users.
  • Support the continued improvement of HR processes, controls and service delivery.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to gather reporting and system-development requirements.
  • Support transactional HR services and contribute to wider People and Culture projects.
  • Manage competing priorities and urgent requests while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Essential experience:
  • Strong hands‑on experience using IRIS Cascade within an HR environment.
  • Experience administering, maintaining or developing an HR information system.
  • An operational HR background covering the employee lifecycle.
  • Experience specialising in HR systems, reporting, management information or people data.
  • Practical experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • The ability to extract, manipulate, validate and interpret HR data.
  • Experience producing HR KPIs and workforce‑management information.
  • The ability to turn raw data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Experience preparing reports or papers for senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel skills, ideally including PivotTables, lookups and data analysis.
  • Experience creating user guides, process documentation or process maps.
  • Experience training managers, colleagues or other HR system users.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • The ability to work at pace and manage several competing priorities.
  • Strong communication, organisation and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • CIPD Level 5 or above.
Desirable experience:
  • Experience using Business Objects or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience developing HR system workflows and automated processes.
  • Experience supporting HRIS upgrades, testing or implementation projects.
  • Experience completing HR system audits and data‑quality reviews.
  • Experience contributing to ONS surveys or other statutory reporting.
  • Experience within housing, local government or another regulated organisation.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and the requirements surrounding employee data.
