Job summary

Prince Personnel are seeking an HR Assistant to join a busy multi-site operation in the food manufacturing sector. You will work closely with the HR Manager, delivering day-to-day admin across recruitment, onboarding, payroll and employee engagement, while learning a broad range of HR activities.

Experience is beneficial but not essential; CIPD Level 3 or manufacturing exposure is a plus. A structured, proactive and team-focused approach will help you thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Highly organised, methodical and accurate in their approach.
• Confident communicating with colleagues at all levels.
• Comfortable handling confidential and sensitive information.
• Competent using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records and confidential documents.
• Prepare HR letters, contracts and forms.
• Support absence management, probation reviews and HR processes.
• Assist with four-weekly payroll, timesheets and overtime.
• Coordinate onboarding and new starter/leaver details.
• Maintain training matrix and monitor certification expiry dates.
• Support employee communications and engagement activities.
• Assist with HR reporting and audits.
• Respond to routine employee queries.
• Provide HR support across production, engineering, warehouse and office teams.
