Job summary

Avencia Consulting seeks an HR Onboarding Coordinator for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Leeds. You will own the onboarding process from offer to first day, coordinating pre-employment screening, contracts, references and new joiner communications, while keeping candidates and managers informed.

You will work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to ensure a seamless candidate experience, escalate issues promptly and maintain accurate trackers across systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, recruitment coordination or similar high-volume admin role.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence speaking with candidates and stakeholders over the phone.
• Strong attention to detail, time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive approach to chasing outstanding information and keeping processes moving.
• Ability to manage multiple candidates, deadlines and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate pre-employment screening, right to work and compliance checks.
• Support reference checking and DBS compliance knowledge.
• Prepare and issue contracts, ensure accelerated issuance within 48 hours.
• Act as main point of contact for candidates, providing regular updates.
• Work with HR, Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to chase actions and updates.
• Ensure day-one arrangements are in place and onboarding flows run smoothly.
• Maintain accurate trackers and update relevant systems with new joiner data.
• Audit files for data accuracy and drive process improvements.
