Leading set of barristers’ chambers is seeking an HR / People Officer to assist the HR Director with a broad range of generalist HR duties and provide high-quality operational and strategic administrative and advisory services across the organization.

This is a busy and varied role. Below is an overview of the position (a full job specification will be provided to successful candidates):

  • Talent acquisition, management, and career development
  • Equality, diversity, inclusion, and well-being
  • Stakeholder engagement both internal and external
  • Employee life-cycle administration
  • Maintaining and auditing staff, members, and pupils records to ensure accurate reporting of people data
  • Processing contractual changes, appraisals, pay reviews, training, employee relations, managing leave requests, and extracting diversity information for reports to management
  • Representing Chambers in sector initiatives and events, sharing information with stakeholders
  • Promoting core values and supporting the organization’s strategic objectives, focusing on the People Strategy

Applicants must be CIPD qualified or working towards membership, with a working knowledge of UK employment law. Generalist HR experience from chambers, law firms, or professional services is essential. Experience in dynamic environments and a proactive, collaborative approach is preferred.
