Overview

HR Manager — Location: Magherafelt (4 days office-based, 1 day from home). Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Sign-On Bonus.

The Lady Accountant is a modern accountancy firm dedicated to delivering expert financial services with a personal touch. We are growing rapidly and expanding our service offering beyond accountancy to provide clients with a trusted, end-to-end business support solution.

The Role

This is a dynamic and outward-facing role, combining client delivery, business development, and team leadership. You will play a key part in shaping how we deliver HR services both internally and externally, with the freedom to create scalable, modern HR solutions for SMEs and professional services clients.

Responsibilities
  • Design and launch a client-facing HR subscription service, including template packs, processes, and toolkits.
  • Act as the main HR contact for clients, providing advice, guidance, and practical solutions on a full range of HR issues.
  • Build strong relationships with existing and new clients, supporting business development and onboarding.
  • Create and maintain HR resources and templates that can be adapted across multiple client engagements.
  • Lead and develop the payroll team, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll delivery.
  • Manage internal HR operations for The Lady Accountant, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • Partner with leadership to identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement in HR services.
About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in delivering HR consultancy or client-facing HR support – with at least 4 years’ experience in HR
  • Commercially aware, confident in developing service offerings and building client relationships.
  • Skilled in designing HR frameworks, templates, and subscription-based models.
  • Strong in payroll and HR compliance, ideally with SME or professional services exposure and a background in payroll
  • A natural leader, able to inspire a team while being hands-on when needed.
  • CIPD qualified
