Job summary

EDF Energy Limited is seeking an experienced HR Manager for Hinckley Point C contract, based in Weston-Super-Mare with regular travel to Bridgwater, Bristol and Gloucester. The role is 9 months fixed-term, Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00, leading all people activities and providing strategic HR support across the contract.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualified or actively working towards this.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law, employee relations, and modern HR practices.
• Experience working within a unionised or industrial relations environment.
• Proven ability to coach, influence, and build credibility with managers at all levels.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all employee relations activity with expert guidance on policy and case management.
• Drive engagement, talent development, succession planning, diversity, and performance management.
• Partner with operational leaders for change, workforce planning, and high-performing teams.
• Lead recruitment across the contract ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Ensure policy compliance, audits, and robust reporting with HR metrics.
