Job summary

You will coach managers, assist with recruitment and onboarding, advise on compensation processes, ensure legal compliance, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive people development. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 2 years HR Generalist experience with HR practices, laws and regulations.
• Experience applying state employment laws to assess compliance issues.
• Experience building relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Experience managing multiple projects with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop positive employee relations initiatives.
• Coach employees and managers on HR policy interpretation.
• Assist management in maintaining positive employee relations.
• Assess internal climate and counsel managers to improve the environment.
• Partner with HR management on local investigations and issue resolution.
• Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
• Represent the company at unemployment hearings when needed.
• Liaise between Talent Acquisition and management in recruitment and selection.
• Determine training needs with local managers.
• Compile data and analyze past and current year training requirements.
• Recommend training programs to support development.
• Ensure effective new employee onboarding.
• Ensure consistency in job evaluations and compensation programs.
• Facilitate organization development and job evaluation processes.
• Assist managers with salary and wage administration for pay equity.
• Ensure HR operations comply with employment requirements.
• Support affirmative action programs.
• Audit and maintain current work authorizations.
• Support leave of absence processes with corporate team and management.
• Assist in Worker’s Compensation policy administration.
• Lead initiatives to ensure timely returns to work.
