Job description

JMAN Group is a fast-growing data engineering & data science consultancy. We work primarily with Private Equity Funds and their Portfolio Companies to create commercial value using Data & Artificial Intelligence. In addition, we also work with growth businesses, large corporates, multinationals, and charities.

We are headquartered in London with Offices in New York, London and Chennai. Our team of over 400 people is a unique blend of individuals with skills across commercial consulting, data science and software engineering.

We were founded by cousins Anush Newman (Co-founder & CEO) and Leo Valan (Co-founder & CTO) and have grown rapidly since 2019. In May 2023 we took a minority investment from Baird Capital and in January 2024 we opened an office in New York with the ambition of growing our US business to be as large as, if not bigger than, our European business by 2027.

Position

Due to significant and ongoing growth, we are now looking for a HR Generalist/Associate HRBP to join our Global People Team. Based in London and reporting to the People Lead, this role will be operationally focused with a broad HR generalist remit, covering HR Operations, employee relations, stakeholder management and learning and development. This role will be ideal for someone looking to move into an HRBP role.

You will likely have 5–7 years' experience, starting as an HR Administrator/Associate, before progressing to a more generalist role. You will be confident and capable of using your own initiative, whilst open to taking direction as needed. This role will not suit a more senior HR professional, who is already operating at HRBP level, or managing a team.

We are looking for a hands-on and pragmatic operator, who is willing to roll their sleeves up and fully immerse themselves in an established organisation. You will be someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality work, who evaluates current practices, and looks for opportunities to improve ways of working, including through automation and enhanced efficiency.

You will actively seek to build relationships with your own team, and with key stakeholders across the organisation. You will promote a collaborative culture of honesty and openness, with clear and transparent communication.

Areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to;

  • HR Operations
  • Performance Management
  • Rewards & Recognition Programs
  • Employee Retention Programs
  • DE&I Programs
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Compliance & Policies
  • Learning and Development
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Good knowledge of HR functions, including performance management, diversity, equity, and inclusivity, employee relations, learning and development, retention and reward.
  • Experienced in providing HR support and management of HR operations across global locations.
  • Capable of delivering practical results to the business and managing numerous projects with competing priorities.
  • Naturally collaborative, with excellent interpersonal and enhanced communication skills.
  • Friendly, personable, and able to develop relationships at all levels.
  • Committed to maintaining and developing knowledge of employment law, external trends, and other developments within the HR profession.
  • CIPD Level 5 and open to continuing towards Level 7.

  • Market-leading parental leave policy
