Gap Personnel Limited is seeking an HR Generalist in Wrexham to support the HR function during a department reorganisation. You will handle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll support, training, and offboarding in a structured, professional environment.

The role is temporary with potential to become permanent for the right candidate. Hours are Monday to Thursday 8.30am–4.30pm and Friday 1.30pm finish, reflecting a full-time on-site schedule.

Formación

• Education: degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 2–5 years in generalist HR or multi-faceted HR role.
• Knowledge: working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Technical Skills: proficiency with HR software and MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Recruitment & onboarding: assist with job descriptions, postings, screening, interviews, offers, and orientation.
• Employee relations: advise management on performance, coaching, conflicts, and investigations.
• Benefits & payroll support: assist payroll with temp and perm staff payroll.
• Training & development: coordinate training sessions and update records.
• Offboarding: conduct exit interviews and manage departures paperwork.

We have been supporting a leading manufacturing company in Wrexham with all levels of staff and as they have had a reorganisation within their HR Department, they are now looking for an HR Generalist to report to the General Manager - HR

Key Responsibilities

• Recruitment & Onboarding - Assist with job descriptions, post openings, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, draft offer letters, and run smooth new-hire orientations
• Employee Relations Act as an advisor to management on performance reviews, coaching, conflict resolution, and disciplinary or grievance investigations
• Benefits & Payroll Support - Support their existing Payroll Officer with the administration of payroll for temporary and permanent staff
• Training & Development: -Coordinate training sessions, monitor progress and update all employee records with training
• Offboarding: Conduct exit interviews, manage paperwork, and process departures cleanly

Skills needed

• Education - Ideally a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a generalist or multi-faceted HR role.
• Knowledge: Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software and MS Office
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal communication, active listening, high confidentiality, and sharp problem-solving abilities

Hours of work are Mon-Thur 8.30am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday with a 1.30pm finish on Fridays
