Job summary

SGN is seeking an experienced HR Data Manager for a 6-month fixed-term contract in Glasgow. You will lead governance and quality initiatives across HR systems and build actionable insights from people data.

The role involves overseeing data flows between Oracle Fusion and Cornerstone, delivering dashboards with Power BI/Tableau, and guiding a small analytics team. You will collaborate with Legal and InfoSec to ensure GDPR compliance and drive automation across the employee data lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in HR data management, HRIS reporting or analytics.
• Proficiency in HR data tools and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau or Qlik.
• Strong grasp of HR data models, governance principles and GDPR requirements.
• Experience in extracting, integrating and reporting on data from multiple HR systems, including Oracle Fusion and Cornerstone.
• Track record of delivering advanced analytics, predictive modelling and workforce planning scenarios.
• Skilled in using Microsoft Power Platform to simplify high-volume reporting, automate processes and develop insightful dashboards.
• Analytical mindset with ability to distil complex data into clear insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and presentation skills.
• Proven leadership experience, coaching and developing talent.

Responsibilities

• Champion data governance across all HR systems and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Lead data quality initiatives including audits, cleansing, and data dictionaries.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Tableau.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis on workforce trends, attrition and HR metrics.
• Oversee data flows and integrations between Oracle Fusion, Cornerstone and other platforms.
• Ensure GDPR compliance and security policies in HR data handling.
• Manage role-based access controls and governance documentation like DPIA.
• Lead and develop a small team of HR Data Analysts.
• Build relationships across HR, IT, Finance and the business for data-driven decisions.
• Introduce automation and AI-powered solutions to streamline processes.
