Job summary

Culina Group is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner on a 12-month fixed-term contract to drive people strategy across a multi-site network and partner with senior leaders. The role includes acting as a floating HRBP, supporting key projects and change programmes while ensuring effective employee relations and data-driven decision making.

Travel between sites is expected; extensive trade union and industrial relations experience is essential.

• Proven experience as HR Business Partner in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong trade union and industrial relations experience (essential).
• Confident influencing, coaching, and challenging senior stakeholders.
• Experience in logistics, manufacturing, retail, distribution, or fast-moving environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with General Managers and senior stakeholders to provide strategic and operational HR support.
• Support delivery of Group-wide HR strategy across multiple units.
• Foster positive employee relations and consult with trade unions and employee representatives.
• Support managers on people-related matters and coach, guiding HR strategy with Employee Relations.
• Develop and deliver people plans across multiple sites; lead organisational change initiatives.

Job Description

We are looking for an experiencedHR Business Partnerto join our team on a 12 month fixed-term contract. This is a highly visible, fast-paced, multi-site role where you will partner with senior stakeholders and General Managers to drive the people agenda across your region.

Working closely with the wider HR team, you will also act as afloating HRBP, providing support to other HR Business Partners on key business projects, change programmes, and operational priorities across the network. This role offers exposure to a variety of business areas, including our ports and planning network operations, making it an excellent opportunity to broaden your HR experience. You will also have access to development opportunities through SAP and other learning platforms.

Due to the nature of the role,extensive trade union and industrial relations experience is essential, along with strong stakeholder management skills and a data-driven approach. Regular travel between sites will be required.

Key Responsibilities;

• Partner with General Managers and senior stakeholders to provide strategic and operational HR support.
• Support the delivery of the Group-wide HR strategy across multiple business units.
• Foster a positive employee relations culture by developing trusted relationships with managers, employees, and employee representatives.
• Work collaboratively with trade union and employee representatives to promote constructive relationships and effective consultation.
• Support managers in navigating people-related matters, providing coaching, guidance, and strategic HR advice in partnership with the Employee Relations team.
• Support the development and delivery of people plans across multiple sites.
• Lead and support organisational change initiatives.
• Proactively manage relationships with employee representatives and trade unions.
• Influence and implement HR policies and processes that support business objectives.
• Ensure performance management processes are effective and consistently applied.
• Manage Employment Tribunal proceedings and liaise with ACAS where required.
• Lead and support TUPE activities.
• Analyse HR data and provide insights to support business decision-making.
• Provide support to fellow HR Business Partners on projects and key business initiatives as required.
• Partner with business leaders to drive engagement, organisational effectiveness, and positive employee outcomes across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating as an HR Business Partner in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong trade union and industrial relations experience (essential).
• Confident influencing, coaching, and challenging senior stakeholders.
• Experience working within logistics, manufacturing, retail, distribution, or similarly fast-moving environments.
• Ability to manage multiple sites, stakeholders, and competing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using HR data to drive decision-making.
• Experience supporting organisational change, consultation processes, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
• Flexible and adaptable approach with a willingness to travel regularly across the Culina network.
