Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is seeking a People Services Advisor to provide day-to-day HR advice and coaching across hospitals and community sites. You will act as the main point of contact for HR guidance and support managers through change and complex casework.

Role requires CIPD qualification or substantial senior HR experience, plus strong knowledge of employment law, TUPE, and policy application within a large public sector organisation.

Qualifications

• CIPD post-graduate diploma in HR management or considerable senior HR experience.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience in employee relations, change management and case management.

Responsibilities

• Advise and support managers through organisational change, keeping an employee-centred approach while meeting Trust objectives on time.
• Handle complex grievance, disciplinary, performance and absence cases, advising managers while following policy.
• Advise on terms and conditions, national employment legislation, and Trust policies and procedures.
• Coach managers daily so they support their teams on HR matters.
• Develop managers' and supervisors' people management capability through guidance and training on Trust employment policies.
• Act as the main point of contact for HR advice on organisational change, recruitment, employee relations, performance, career planning and case management.
• Work in partnership with trade union colleagues to maintain effective employee relations across the Trust.
• Ensure employment policies are applied effectively and guide teams to improve their practice.
