Job summary

VVB Engineering in the United Kingdom seeks a generalist HR professional on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover administration, training and learning and development, payroll and employee relations. You will influence wellbeing strategies and support the wider HR team across site operations.

The role involves leading and coordinating HR projects, ensuring policy compliance, managing onboarding, and supporting audits such as ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Build line manager capacity by pro-actively identifying HR matters and advising on best practice while ensuring compliance with procedures and employment law.
• Provide policy guidance to line managers and employees; support ER activities, investigations, disciplinary hearings and related processes.
• Manage operational HR matters supporting mobilisation and demobilisation of projects and programmes.
• Support HR strategy delivery with HR projects and restructures across the company.
• Collaborate with payroll and benefits providers to respond to HR queries and deliver solutions.
• Oversee redeployment management in collaboration with project managers and support teams.
• Coordinate training and development, ensure tickets and competencies are up to date for blue-collar operatives.
• Participate in HR-related projects including wellbeing initiatives.
