Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to operate in a fast-paced, operational environment. You will partner with senior leaders, providing strategic and hands-on HR support across sites in the North, with travel to key locations as needed.

You will drive engagement, deliver practical people solutions, and influence decisions to support business performance. The role is site-based in Doncaster with additional multi-site coverage.

Qualifications

• Strong HR Business Partner experience within a customer-centric, operational environment.
• Solid ER expertise across performance management, disciplinaries, grievances and attendance.
• Union experience and pay negotiations are essential.
• High energy with a genuine passion for culture, engagement and visible HR presence.
• Credible influencer capable of challenging and supporting senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Support with employee satisfaction, performance and retention at sites.
• Support the ER agenda and lead relationships and key processes.
• Deploy Business HR Priorities (e.g. labour flexibility, payroll optimisation, T&Cs standardisation).
• Provide HR support to start-ups and business wins/losses/transfers.
• Ensure robust performance management processes (sickness, disciplinary, grievances).
• Assist managers with workforce planning, organisation design and resourcing needs.

What Your Day Could Involve

• Support with employee satisfaction, performance, retention and effective communication at sites.
• Support the ER agenda and lead / support relationships and key processes
• Deploy the Business HR Priorities, as directed e.g. labour flexibility, OMS, LPMC, payroll optimisation, T&C's standardisation.
• Provide HR support to start ups and business wins, losses and transfers.
• Ensure employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance) is robustly supported.
• Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management including organisation design, forecasting resourcing needs, agency and identifying future talent requirements.
• Act as an advisor to managers to support compliance with HR policies.

What We Need From You

• Strong HR Business Partner experience within a customer-centric, operational environment
• Solid ER expertise across performance management, disciplinaries, grievances and attendance
• Union experience along with pay negotiations - essential
• High energy with a genuine passion for culture, engagement and visible HR presence
• Credible influencer, able to challenge and support senior leaders
• Experience building management capability through coaching and pragmatic advice
• Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working at pace
• CIPD studying, qualified or equivalent level of professional HR knowledge
• Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels
