Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to operate across multiple sites in the North, including Doncaster. You will partner with senior leaders, deliver strategic and hands-on HR support, drive engagement and manage complex people issues, including union negotiations and performance management.

You will travel to key sites, coach managers, handle ER matters, and contribute to shaping a positive workplace culture in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as HRBP in a fast-paced, operational environment.
• Strong employee relations skills, handling complex people matters.
• Union experience including pay negotiations is essential.
• Ability to coach and develop managers in a changing culture.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced HR Business Partner who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment? We're looking for a confident HR professional to join our team.

Partnering with senior leaders, you'll provide both strategic and hands-on HR support across a workforce of 250 colleagues at sites across the North, you will need to travel to key sites where you'll build strong relationships, drive engagement, and deliver practical people solutions that support business performance.

You'll bring strong employee relations experience, the ability to manage complex people matters, and a passion for coaching and developing managers.

What your day could involve

• Support with employee satisfaction, performance, retention and effective communication at sites.
• Support the ER agenda and lead / support relationships and key processes
• Deploy the Business HR Priorities, as directed e.g. labour flexibility, OMS, LPMC, payroll optimisation, T&C's standardisation.
• Provide HR support to start ups and business wins, losses and transfers.
• Ensure employee performance management (sickness, discipline, grievance) is robustly supported.
• Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management including organisation design, forecasting resourcing needs, agency and identifying future talent requirements.
• Act as an advisor to managers to support compliance with HR policies.

What we need from you

• Strong HR Business Partner experience within a customer centric, operational environment
• Solid ER expertise across performance management, disciplinaries, grievances and attendance
• Union experience along with pay negotiations - essential
• High energy with a genuine passion for culture, engagement and visible HR presence
• Credible influencer, able to challenge and support senior leaders
• Experience building management capability through coaching and pragmatic advice
• Resilient and adaptable, comfortable working at pace
• CIPD studying, qualified or equivalent level of professional HR knowledge
• Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to build trust at all levels
