Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking an HR Advisor for site-based work at Worksop/Doncaster. This permanent role provides HR support, guides managers on policy interpretations, and assists with workforce planning and employee relations across our UK operations.

You will work closely with HR Partners to ensure consistency, deliver HR services, and support business objectives in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Previous HR experience (Essential).
• Case management experience (Essential).
• Strong organisational skills (Essential).
• Experience within a logistics business (Desirable).
• CIPD level 3 qualification or equivalent (Desirable).
• Trade union experience (Desirable).
• Ability to communicate with multiple stakeholder groups.
• Looking to develop in a fast-paced site-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to contribute to the HR agenda, offering guidance to managers and colleagues on HR matters such as employee relations, policy and process, recruitment and key projects.
• Advise and coach managers on HR policy interpretation in line with legislation and local arrangements.
• Support workforce planning, organisation design, forecasting resourcing needs and future talent requirements.
• Support the management of employee cases relating to disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence, including investigations and hearings.
• Collaborate with managers on sickness absence management and redeployment where appropriate.
• Provide accurate data to HRBP and managers to deliver HR processes.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

• Provide HR support to contribute to the overall success of the HR agenda in delivering a proactive and customer-focused HR service by providing effective support, guidance and advice to managers and colleagues on a wide variety of HR matters, such as employee relations, policy and process, recruitment and the delivery of key projects
• Advise and coach managers on the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures in accordance with current and proposed employment legislation and local arrangements, to ensure consistency, accuracy and best practice
• Support managers to develop and deliver solutions for workforce planning and management, including organisation design, forecasting resourcing needs, agency and identifying future talent requirements
• Support the management of employee cases relating to disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence. This includes providing advice to managers on policy/procedure and legislation, support managers with Occupational Health, supporting formal investigations and hearings.
• Work in collaboration with managers on managing sickness, managing redeployment where appropriate, assisting colleagues back to work and working with managers to reduce sickness absence across the organisation.
• Provide accurate and timely data to the HRBP and managers to successfully deliver HR processes
